The first thing to study was a document discovered in the National Archive. I found an incomplete version but a much better was passed to me by the GCHQ Historian. The report when into detail including detailed descriptions and circuit diagrams. There were good images taken from various angles but the only physical information was a list of overall dimensions.

Before drawing detailed versions it was necessary to indentify all the phisical compnents and take dimensions of these.

It then took time to draw up complete engineering drawings by using overall dimensions and from the images work out all the detailed dimensions.

The resulting drawings are thought to be reasonably accurate but in the case of power supply chassis the overall dimensions had to be made just a little larger to allow the fitting of the large main transformer

A full set of AutoCad drawings were produced. Below is an example of a wireframe 3D image of the combiner chassis.
